| Orthotist/prosthetists are tertiary qualified Allied Health Professionals who assess and treat the physical and functional limitations of people resulting from illnesses and disabilities, including limb amputations. Orthotist/prosthetists are trained to prescribe, design, fit and monitor orthoses and prostheses.

| 入学条件（Academic Entry Requirement)：
You must have a relevant Bachelor's degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor's degree, completed in the past five years (or subsequent postgraduate study and/or relevant work experience) with a minimum grade average of 70 per cent.
Essential prerequisite subjects include:
• Subjects in anatomy and physiology covering regional musculoskeletal anatomy. Desirable prerequisite subjects include
• Studies in biomechanics, clinical assessment, psychology, pathology, materials technology, evidence based practice, research methods or statistics, human movement.
NB: The scores above are indicative only and may change based on the number of applications received and places available. Achieving the above listed scores does not guarantee an offer of a place.
Students without a background in anatomy and physiology, prosthetics and orthotics will be required to complete the School of Human Biosciences Physiology and Anatomy and/or the P&O Fabrication skills and occupational health & safety bridging courses.

|
La Trobe University is already recognised as meeting AOPAs current minimum standards and will be undergoing formal Course Accreditation procedures with AOPA this year. Students who enrolled after 2013 will graduate with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics. Students completing the Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics will graduate in 2018.
This program also offers a graduate entry level for students who already have an appropriate Bachelor qualification. The graduate entry allows for completion of the Master in Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2 years.
